Why this page exists
A great many companies selling business phone service are resellers layered on top of someone else's authority. There is nothing wrong with that model, but it is a materially different thing from being a registered provider, and a buyer deserves to know which one they are dealing with.
NETLinc is registered with the FCC as a voice service provider and supports STIR/SHAKEN caller authentication. The registration details below can be checked against public federal databases.

STIR/SHAKEN call authentication
STIR/SHAKEN is the framework carriers use to cryptographically sign calls so that the receiving network can verify the caller has a legitimate right to use the number. Signed calls carry an attestation level indicating how much the signing provider knows about the caller.
NETLinc supports STIR/SHAKEN signing for eligible originating traffic through its carrier and signing infrastructure. Our objective is to provide appropriate caller authentication for numbers provisioned through NETLinc and to reduce avoidable call-labeling and trust issues. Attestation can depend on the number, service configuration and originating call path.
For a business making outbound calls, attestation is one of several inputs analytics platforms weigh when deciding whether to label a call. It is not the only factor, and no provider can guarantee a call will never be flagged. What we can say is that the authentication side is handled properly and under our own authority.
CPNI
Customer Proprietary Network Information is the data generated by your use of our service: who you called, when, for how long, and what services you subscribe to. Federal rules restrict how a carrier may use and disclose it.
NETLinc files an annual CPNI compliance certification with the FCC in EB Docket 06-36, signed by an officer of the company. Our practices cover authentication before disclosing call detail, notification of account changes, and the required breach notification procedure.
We do not sell customer call records. To ask a question about your CPNI or to change your preferences, contact customercare@netlincts.com.
Emergency calling
As an interconnected VoIP provider we carry specific E911 obligations, including subscriber disclosure and acknowledgment, address registration, and compliance with Kari's Law and RAY BAUM'S Act. Those are covered in detail on our E911 page.
